One of my first memories of traveling to Walt Disney World was seeing the Earffel Tower at Disney Hollywood Studios. As we drove past it, I cried because I thought that was where Mickey lived, and we were not going to see him. When I was young my family traveled to Walt Disney World every few years, I always loved visiting the parks and seeing Mickey and all the characters. My love for Disney grew even stronger when I was in college and attended a seminar about the Disney College Program. I was hooked! One year later, I was accepted in the program and assigned to work in merchandise. When I arrived in January of 2006, I was ecstatic to find out I was to work in the Emporium on Main Street, USA! For six months, I got to work in one of the busiest stores on the Walt Disney World property. I was able to see Wishes several times a week and hear every parade that traveled down the street. Although some would think to experience Disney from the “other side” would make you not want to go back, it only made me love it even more. I love seeing a child’s eyes light up at the tiniest bit of magic, and families laughing when meeting a character for the first time.
Since that time, I have been back for several vacations and each time I look forward to researching and planning our experience. This past January (2019) my husband and I brought our two kids for the first time. I’m not sure who was more excited, my three-year-old or me! Seeing his eyes light up after seeing Mickey was amazing, I knew all my time spent planning the trip was worth it. With the knowledge I gained while working for the company and research I did for the many trips I have taken; I know that I can help plan the most magical vacation for your family!
