Travel is an amazing opportunity.  Here at Reach for the Magic Destinations I specialize in cruising.  Especially now, a cruise is a cure for your soul after having emerged from the pandemic.  I mean, what other vacation can you pivot due to hazardous weather conditions.  If you’ve chosen a land vacation to Puerto Rico, there is no avoiding a hurricane should a storm be on its way.  On a cruise, the ship will change course and find some other amazing port.  What else is amazing about a cruise?  Can’t decide between the lobster or the filet mignon?  Get both!  It’s included in your cruise fare.  Can’t decide between the melting lava cake or the crème brûlée?  Get both!  What other means of travel allows you to visit different, unbelievable destinations each day?  Cruises go all over the world.  Enjoy the wildlife and landscapes of Alaska.  Japan is a wonderland of culture.  Experience the best beaches of the world in the Caribbean.  Transport yourself in a time machine to the enchantment of the Mediterranean.  Discover the wonders of below the equator in South America and Antarctica.  Explore adventure in the Galapagos Islands.

I devour all information concerning travel.  Let’s call a spade, a spade. I’m obsessed. Let my obsession lighten your load.  Nothing is more important to me than your trip.  While some enjoy a leisurely time at a cabana, I’m keen on adventure and exploration. If it involves snorkeling, biking, hiking, or sailing, I’m on board.

What is the biggest mistake you can make in choosing a cruise? Cruise lines have different profiles, and they are not all the same.  Let me help you figure out what is the best fit so you can have the time of your life.  Even cruises on the same line have different characteristics. A short three-day cruise is not the same as a seven day on the same cruise line.  Destinations and time of year also play a role.  Let’s work together to make some incredible choices.

I’ve experienced several trips solo.  Consequently, I’ve become a traveling light minimalist.  That’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I can certainly help to lighten your load. I hail from the birthplace of America where they signed the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.  It is the city of brotherly love and sisterly affection.  I am proud to call Philadelphia my home.

Favorite Travel Memories

  • Western Caribbean cruise – I discovered a half-submerged cenote outside of Playa del Carmen.  Best excursion ever!

  • Peruvian hike – Followed in the steps of the Incas climbing and camping along the Andes around Mt. Salkantay to reach Macchu Picchu.

  • Romping around Italy – Laughing hysterically with friends after climbing a bell tower and yelping as we had forgotten that the bell would ring shortly after climbing hundreds of stairs to the top of Torre delle Ore in the little hill town of Lucca. We had even reminded ourselves on the climb up.  We were all blonde that day.

  • French Adventures – Having a picnic underneath the Eiffel Tower all lit up at night while imbibing a bottle of wine I purchased on Rue Cler.  Also, biking through the Loire River Valley discovering various chateaux.  Seeing the French countryside as a bus never could.

  • Universal Orlando Resort - I love swimming.  But I had no idea that I would be doused with water so many times by so many attractions at the Islands of Adventure.  Getting splashed so often brought so much laughter.  What a ridiculously fun adventure.
