Things to Consider for An All Inclusive Vacation
Planning your all-inclusive resort vacation should feel exciting, not overwhelming. Here are a few important things to keep in mind as you begin:
Airfare
While some of our travel advisors assist with airfare bookings, our general recommendation is that clients book flights directly. This often allows more control over pricing, schedules, airline loyalty points, and seat selections. Don’t worry, we’ll guide you on the ideal flight times and airport options to coordinate smoothly with your resort stay.
Travel Insurance
When heading to the Caribbean or Mexico, adding travel protection isn’t just a backup plan, it’s part of traveling smart. From unexpected illness or injury to flight delays, lost luggage, or even needing to cancel for covered reasons, travel insurance helps safeguard your investment. It can also provide peace of mind for things like medical care abroad, which your U.S. health insurance likely won’t cover.
Passports & Documentation
For travel to Mexico or the Caribbean, a valid passport is required. Make sure yours is up to date and doesn’t expire within 6 months of travel. If you’re traveling with children or planning a multi-generational trip, we can walk you through what’s needed.
Budget & Travel Dates
Being upfront about your budget and desired travel dates helps us match you with resorts and promotions that truly fit. All-inclusive options range from simple to luxury, so there’s something for nearly every style, but clarity helps us deliver the best fit.
Special Celebrations or Needs
If you're planning a honeymoon, anniversary, or birthday trip, or have accessibility or dietary considerations, let us know. Many resorts offer beautiful enhancements, and we’ll make sure your needs are thoughtfully supported.
Hurricane Season Travel
Hurricane season in the Caribbean and Mexico runs from June through November, with peak activity typically between August and October. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t travel during these months; many travelers do and have fantastic vacations. However, it’s important to be aware of the risks and understand your options:
-
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that includes coverage for weather-related disruptions.
-
Be flexible with your travel plans if possible, especially around peak storm periods.
-
Work with your travel advisor to stay informed about cancellation policies, resort protocols, and real-time weather updates.
How We Choose the Right All-Inclusive - for You
Every resort has a “personality.” We look beyond glossy photos to match you with the place that fits your pace, preferences, and budget - then we time it for availability and stack the best perks so your getaway feels effortless.
