A Day at a Disney Moderate Resort: Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

A Day at a Disney Moderate Resort : Disney’s Caribbean Beach Edition

Waking up at Caribbean Beach Resort did NOT disappoint! Walking out of the room to get ready to head to the bus stop to spend a day at Animal Kingdom, we were greeted with an absolutely spectacular sunrise! The view itself and sunrise had me second guessing if we even wanted to go to a park this day or not, the beauty was captivating. We enjoyed Joffreys coffee while taking in the view and then made our very short walk to the bus stop that was located in our section.

We were accommodated in a standard room which was nicely situated in the Aruba section of the resort. Aruba section is the closest section to Disney’s Riviera Resort, which is a Deluxe resort. Caribbean Beach Resort is a large resort and very spread out, but do not let this size intimidate you! For instance, staying in Aruba, we were able to have a very brief walk (les than 5 minutes) to the Riveria Resorts Skyliner hub and could use that if we were wanting to go to Epcot or if we wanted to take this back to the main Caribbean Beach Skyliner Hub, which we did once! I will touch on that in a bit. The resort is made up of different areas that are considered different Caribbean Islands such as Jamaica, Trinidad, Barbados, Martinique and Aruba. Most of the areas have their own beaches with lounge chairs and hammocks for your leisure and lots of space to run and play. Also, throughout the resort it features 5 leisure pools so therefore if you don’t want walk your way to the main location with the main pool that features water slides which is known as Fuentes del Morro, you can enjoy another pool nearby!

I arrived back from Animal Kingdom around 2:30 and got off at the main lobby bus stop so we can enjoy the gift shop and Centertown Marketplace to grab a snack and relax at Old Port Royale. We grabbed a burger and fries at Banana Cabana then made our walk to our room area for a nice little break. There are playground locations, different resting and relaxation spots all around this resort. You truly feel transporting to the Caribbean while staying here!

Instead of relaxing in the room, we enjoyed relaxing on the sandy beach located right outside of our room in the lounge chairs and hammocks over looking the water and the Riviera Resort. After a solid break we decided to get on the Skyliner from the Riviera and take flight to the Caribbean Beach main hub and walk over to another quick service location onsite called Spyglass Grill. We used Mobile Order and grabbed delicious Black Bean Tacos and Mojo Pork tacos served with Plantain and Yuca chips with mango chutney – this chutney was divine! We rode the Skyliner back and yet again, enjoyed the beach while eating our dinner and enjoyed a beautiful sunset.

One of our favorite Table Service locations at Walt Disney World is located onsite at Caribbean Beach, Sebastians Bistro. We did not dine here this trip, but we have 2 times in trips past. This is an absolutely amazing dining experience with delicious Caribbean flavors!

We concluded our evening by returning to the room and playing a round of Hey Disney Trivia, then enjoyed the comfortable beds for a great nights sleep. If you are lucky, sometimes you can step outside and see or hear bits of the Epcot Firework shows depending on your location! Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is most certainly a wonderful location to choose for a more luxury feel than the Value resorts as it has more pools, a waterslide at the main pool,  multiple quick service  food offerings and a table service option, and in my opinion the biggest perk, the Skyliner to and from Epcot and Hollywood Studios! Staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort can be equal amounts of fun and relaxation on park days and for a great rest day in between parks!
