Earlier this month, two of our #ReachfortheMagic travel advisors participated in the Disney EarMarked Program Silver Workshop from February 12-14, 2024. Workshop programming was specifically designed for new travel advisors to assist in continuing to build their Disney expertise as well as having the opportunity to create social media content.
Hannah Upshaw and Becky Dallman enjoyed a stay at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, which allows them to be able to have firsthand experience of staying at a deluxe resort and being able to compare the different resort categories for their clients. Becky shared, “our room was beautiful and full of fun details” and found the overall experience and atmosphere of this resort “amazing.”
On Tuesday, the two attend a full day of learning, including breakout sessions where Disney presented information on their destinations as well as marketing strategies. Hannah and Becky got to hear about current and upcoming projects for the theme parks and Disney Cruise Line. One of the presentations was by an Adventure Guide with Adventures by Disney, where they got to hear firsthand about the exclusive experience offered to guests. Another highlight was hearing and seeing sneak peeks of Disney’s newest private island, Disney Look Out Cay at Lighthouse Point.
Of course, what’s a trip to Walt Disney World® Resort without some time in the theme parks? Becky and Hannah utilized their time to visit the theme parks with a travel advisor lens and tried new things, such as having customized popcorn made, and some old things made new again, such as taking a ride on the Walt Disney World Railroad.
They finished up their Workshop with resort tours at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, all monorail resorts that offer views of Disney’s Magic Kingdom theme park. Here they toured guest rooms as well as seeing what each resort offers to visitors.
This workshop offered Becky and Hannah to extend their experiences and expertise of the Walt Disney World® Resort, all in the name of providing great service to their clients. We’re grateful to Walt Disney Travel Company for offering the invitation for two of our travel advisors to attend this workshop.
