I had the honor of attending Walt Disney Worlds first EarMarked Silver Producer Workshop held in early February. During this Workshop, the agents who were in attendance were hosted at either Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa or Disney’s Contemporary Resort. My fellow agent, Becky, and myself had beautiful accommodations at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa and nicely situated in Conch Key area of the resort. After arrival to the resort, we were invited to attend a Dessert Welcome Party located at Walt Disney World Epcot. Upon arrival, our senses were ignited by the beauty and smells of different desserts that were being tested out at Walt Disney World for this event as they are all inspired by infamous Disney desserts such as Dole Whip Cream Puffs (oh my!), Gray Stuff, Churros, Mickey Waffle and cream, and lastly a Mickey Apple candy bite. Our location in Epcot was a beautiful location to watch the Luminous Night Time show, sadly due to high wind and upcoming rain, the show was canceled.
The next morning was truly what we came for – the workshop! This workshop was put on so incredibly well. We arrived to a breakfast buffet at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and then we entered the conference room and found a table to begin. From 9am-12pm we had 3 different main speakers who were phenomenal. We learned so much more on how to make our past, present and future clients vacations even more memorable and special. We learned a lot about all of the new things coming to the Disney Parks over the next few years at multiple locations like Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line and more. So excited to have learned more about Disney’s new private island in the making – Disney Look Out Cay at Lighthouse Point!
We were able to experience a wonderful speaker who shared his personal experience as a tour guide with Adventures by Disney which ignited a fire in us all to want to share more about this amazing offering Disney has. Adventures by Disney is a true one of a kind experience and Disney makes sure to take care of all of the guests needs during this experience!
After this morning session, we were able to break for a delicious lunch buffet. Once returning, we joined fellow agents in break out sessions. Why break out sessions? Well, this event hosted 400 agents and they wanted to have 4 different break out sessions so that we could be all divided up into smaller groups so we could have a more personal experience and be able to ask and answer questions in a more intimate group. During these sessions we were able to learn ways to better help our past, present and future clients, dive deeper into Disneyland Parks and Resorts, take a closer look at Disney Cruise Line, learn so much more about Adventures by Disney and National Geographic.
We concluded our workshop the next day by being invited to view different room locations at the Deluxe Monorail Resort Loop Resorts. These resorts included Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Disney’s Polynesian Resort. It was a wonderful experience being able to explore all three resorts, learn about them, see their amenities and even be able to photograph different rooms in the resorts to be able to share with our clients who are interested, or the ones who are unaware of them. While staying onsite at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, it even had me realize the amazing perk of staying at one of these Deluxe Resorts on the Monorail loop, being just a 5 minute monorail ride away from the Magic Kingdom, steps away for those guests staying at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Having access to select nights that feature extended magic hours for deluxe guests, being able to watch the Happily Ever After firework show from the Magic Kingdom juts from our resort was a treat. I am so excited to have had this opportunity to learn, grow and be a better advisor for all of my clients and looking forward to implementing what I have learned to make every single clients vacation truly the most magical vacation.
