What You’re Responsible For

As an Independent Contractor, you are in charge of your own business. That means:

  • Managing your clients from inquiry through return

  • Using agency tools and systems (where desired) effectively

  • Communicating with clients and the team in a timely, professional manner

  • Building your own client base (we do not provide leads as a default)

  • Investing time into learning and professional development

  • Honoring our policies, brand standards, and supplier expectations

  • Showing up with kindness, consistency, and care

 

We’ll give you tools, templates, educational resources, and encouragement, but your business is your responsibility to grow and manage.

Fees & Financial Expectations

We believe in being transparent about the investment it takes to build a thriving travel business…because clarity creates confidence.  At Reach for the Magic Destinations, we provide the tools, training, and support to help you start strong and grow with intention. As an Independent Contractor, you are responsible for your own business expenses, but you won’t be navigating them alone.

Your Annual Fee Includes:

A one-time yearly payment covers the foundational tools and services you’ll use throughout your business journey, including:

  • Access to our agency-wide CRM (Client Relationship Manager)

  • A branded agency email address

  • Your personalized advisor profile page on our website

  • Use of agency branding and marketing assets

  • Access to team events, calls, and our advisor community platform

 

Required Onboarding Program: The Academy

All new advisors begin their journey with The Academy - our signature onboarding and business-building experience. This training program has a separate training agreement and fee, and is designed to give you the structure, skills, and confidence you need to launch your travel business with clarity and support.

 

The Academy includes:

  • Training modules, including exercises and accountability check-ins

  • Guidance on systems, marketing, sales, and client experience

 

Additional Business Expenses to Consider

As a business owner, you may choose to invest in additional tools and resources that best fit your goals. These might include:

  • Optional software (like email marketing, scheduling tools, or design platforms such as Canva)

  • Marketing materials, business cards, or paid ads

  • Supplier certifications (some are free, others require a fee)

  • Professional liability (E&O) insurance; recommended but not required

  • Conferences, FAM trips, or advanced professional development

 

Most advisors recoup their initial investment within their first few client bookings, though timing varies based on your focus, availability, and chosen niche.
