Walt Disney World Table Service Dining: Kona Café
Kona Café is a great option for breakfast, lunch or dinner! Kona Café is situated in the beautiful Disney’s Polynesian Resort and is a restaurant spot that should not be missed!
When visiting Walt Disney World earlier this summer, my family and I visited Kona Café for breakfast. There is something about entering the Polynesian Resort that immediately transports you to tropical islands, absolutely amazing ambiance! We did not have a theme park day planned so we had breakfast around 8:30am with reservations made prior. The cast members were incredibly kind and knowledgeable of the menu and gave some helpful tips on what to order.
I enjoyed the Tonga Toast which is banana stuffed sourdough French toast rolled in cinnamon sugar and is served with a strawberry compote and then you have the choice of ham, spiced ham, bacon or sausage. I went for the ham. For a drink I chose the Liliko’i Juice, which is their version of POG juice – my favorite! My husband and daughter split the breakfast platter. This platter is large! The platter is served with two eggs any style, potatoes, ham, bacon, sausage, French toast and mini pancakes with macadamia nut butter and pineapple compote. This as DELISH!
When visiting Walt Disney World, keep in mind all of the different dining options at your resort, outside of your resort, at the theme parks and at Disney Springs. Ask your travel agent recommendations and figure out what is best for your family and if you would like reservations before for your vacation.
Kona Café certainly did not disappoint and we will be back to enjoy dinner next time!
